Why did you choose veterinary medicine?

“I adore animals, and I've always felt comfortable around them. I'm the sort of person who goes to a party only to spend most of the time with the host's pets. I wanted to do what I could to help pets in need, and I wanted to lend what kindness I could during stressful situations for patients."

Tell me about your pets.

“Right now I have an adorable West Highland Terrier named Teddy. I've had him for 14 years, since he was a puppy. He has an amusing overbite. He is passionate about sun bathing, treats, stuffy toys and keeping up with routines, like bedtime. In the past, I've had dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ferrets and a corn snake."
